Everybody got a snow day

The big storm came to OKC and everybody got a snow day. I hope it's better tomorrow so that I can go to therapy. I don't do well on slick surfaces, so I hope it melts by 10 am.

Lost 8.2 pounds last week! Whoop whoop!

Same old same old

Nothing new today. Slept in short fits last night. Maybe a lidocaine patch would work. I'll call the doc on Monday.

I haven't posted here in 2 years.

I have been sitting in my family room since April of 2012. This is not the way I planned to live my life. I have had 3 surgeries since August. bilateral carpal tunnel, and a repair of a near complete rotator cuff tear in my right shoulder.

I earned a Master's degree in nursing education so that I could teach, but I can't even type for more than a few minutes without severe pain. I have started physical and occupational therapy so maybe that will help. I am not good at sitting. It makes me want to cry now when people ask me what I do, because I don't do anything. That just wasn't the plan!

I have had many orthopedic surgeries since I was 29, because my cartilage seems to be falling apart, but this shoulder surgery has been a doozy! I can't sleep due to pain so I am thoroughly exhausted, and don't know what to do about it. So I guess I will add blogging my random thoughts to reading at night. Maybe it will be good mental exercise even if I don't get any physical exercise!
