Frustration

Today is Tuesday May 7, 2013. I have been off work with these arm and shoulder issues since April 23, 2012. I have been therapy almost continuously, and have undergone MRIs, EMGs, carpal tunnel surgery on both hands, as well as shoulder surgery to repair a rotator cuff that was almost completely torn off. As my surgeon put it, "it was hanging by a thread!"

After surgery and wearing a huge sling for several weeks I resumed therapy. It seemed to be doing pretty well (still sore but getting better) for several weeks, and then, bang! I was right back where I first started! Intense pain, and severely decreased range of motion. Taking a shower is a torture and getting dressed is worse!

I had an arthrogram (they injected dye into my shoulder capsule and took x-rays and another MRI) yesterday to see what is going on. My therapist is afraid to do any more therapy on my shoulder until the results come in. There is something very wrong going on here, and she doesn't want to make it any worse!

I have been a very nice, compliant patient, but I am so frustrated, and in so much pain I could just scream!
